Battlefield Bad Company 2 review

Hi everybody!

I thought that since Battlefield 3 will be with us soon, it's probably a good time to do this review. This review will not include BC2: vietnam.

The plot of the game is looking for a powerfull weapon in order to stop the Russians from using it against the US. I wont go into details about the story, but it is a brilliant story line. It's in someways similar to the story line of Killzone. In that a four man squad has to fight countless enemy soldiers through various different biomes, to prevent various disasters. I know that description doesn't sound great, but it does make for awesome campaigns. This campaign is really well thought out in terms of the story and really engaging in terms of the gameplay. The ability to control (and use) vehicles completes the game. It is another one of those games you want to play over and over again.

To the world of multiplayer! The multiplayer on this game is revolutionary. It is amazing! The game types are beyond the standard. Rush mode is what defines the online aspect of this game. And it is one of the most intense game modes i've played. Usually i'm not bothered if i win or lose, because i'm just looking to have fun. BUT rush mode is something else. I'm desperate to win those games everytime. The maps are epic. They are large and filled with buildings, which allows many different types of play styles. It's sniper friendly, rushing friendly and tactful/ stealth friendly. Another thing that makes this "revolutionary" is the destructable environment. Is some fucker camping by a doorway in a building? Then blow the fucking doorway to hell! There is just one hitch with the multiplayer, that can take away the fun of it. Spawn trapping. It doesn't always happen, but occasionaly i'll get into a game where some douche is sitting in my teams spawn, or they have a helicopter flying in circles around the spawn. There's no point in playing a match if that's happening in my opinion.

All in all, however, the game is awesome. as a series i think it's better than the Call of Duty series, but what do you think? write a comment and let me know. The BF- CoD debate is a pretty heated one and i want to know why people prefer which ever series!

Overall i give this game 8/10. It's great in all aspects. The only thing that lets it down is the spawn killing problem. Other than that it is flawless (IMO).

P.S. I will be doing a Battlefield 3 review sooner after the release than this one (Shocking, i know). I am getting BF 3 for PC and will have to upgrade my computer. You can expect the review around christmas time. Still pretty late, but better than a year late i guess. Thanks.
